5 Beaches to visit this spring in Mallorca.
The end of spring is approaching and the sun begins to shine with intensity. Before high summer temperatures invite you to set a place under an umbrella or next beside a cold drink in a beach bar, now it’s time to put on a pair of shoes, a cap, some sun protection, take a bottle of water or some pieces of fruit and go to excursion in search of exclusive beaches. In Mallorca Markets and Festivals we recommend five pleasant and varied walks.
Cala Bóquer is a small beach located in the north of the island, a few kilometers from Port de Pollença. A small jewel full of calm where to cool down after walking the path that leads to it, contemplate its crystalline waters purified by the posidonia and enjoy the view of the imposing Cavall Bernat mountain. The excursion to the beach is very simple and spectacular. After parking in the Bóquer neighbourhood and cross the finca, the route of the imposing valley of Bóquer opens with the Cavall Bernat mountain range on the right and the Penyal Roig i el Morral mountains on the left. The length of the route is 2.5 kilometers, an ideal distance for a quick excursion.
Also located in the north of the island, but this time in the municipality of Alcúdia. It is a beach of more than 200 meters long and 75 meters wide composed of thick sand. It’s located on the public estate of la Victòria, about 7 kilometers from the village of Alcudia. After parking in the vicinity of Coll Baix’ shelter and arriving to it, starts a nice path among pine trees that leads to the beach. The way has some indications and it is easy to find yourself. The last section, on the rocks by the sea, is a bit more complicated, so it is advisable to wear good mountain shoes.
Mallorca never ceases to amaze, and that is why you can find beautiful and quiet beaches without getting too far from civilization. The beach of Sa Torre is in the neighbourhood with the same name, in the municipality of Llucmajor. To get there, you have to go to the viewpoint of Sa Torre, located at the end of Avenida Regne de Mallorques. Once there, you have to jump to the other side of the viewpoint and start a descent that has no indications. At the end there is a nice access to the sea of open water, where one can settle on the flat remains of carved stone.
Sa Font Celada
The walk leading to Sa Font Celada beach is the longest in this selection, but the effort is worth its reward. It is located on the shores of the Llevant parc, 12 kilometers from Artà. The shortest way to reach it is to walk along the coast from Cala Torta, a long but pleasant 5 kilometer walk. The beach stands out for its turquoise waters, its marine flora and fauna and its sand of 150 meters of depth. Because of its location, it is not a busy beach, so in it you will find a perfect place of calm and tranquility.
Es Carbó i Ses Roquetes
We keep a paradisiac beach of easy access for the end. To get to Es Carbó beach you only have to walk about twenty minutes from the Colònia de Sant Jordi heading south. On the way beside the sea that leads to Es Carbó you will find more beautiful beaches that will tempt you to swim. The beach of Es Carbó is characterized by having a kilometer in length of white sands bathed by the sun and have a beautiful landscape with the islet of Ses Roquetes.
