Puigpunyent offers some of Mallorca's most impressive landscapes
Puigpunyent is a small village in the southwestern part of the Serra de Tramuntana. It currently has around 2,000 inhabitants divided between three population centers: Puigpunyent, Galilea and Son Serralta, along with the neighborhoods that live scattered throughout the district.
As a mountain town, Puigpunyent offers some of the most impressive landscapes that can be found in Mallorca. Vineyards, orange trees, olive trees, and almond trees cover the valleys of the village.
You can also see an important set of lands full of millennial olive trees. Mountains and valleys are connected by a large number of old roads of public ownership that bring an important heritage and ethnological value.
If you like hiking, Puigpunyent and Galilea offer an impressive selection of routes throughout the area and the Serra de Tramuntana.
The mountains are covered by leafy forests of pines, oaks, olive trees and carob trees, where you can have the feeling that time has not passed because, even now, we can find countless charcoal houses, stone kilns used to cook the bread, lime kilns, snow houses, etc.
