Son Servera is a coastal town in the Llevant region, located in the northeast of the island.
This village has four urban areas: Son Servera, Cala Millor, Cala Bona and Costa dels Pins. In total, the municipality has more than 11,000 inhabitants; Cala Millor and Son Servera are the most populated areas. Son Servera took its name from one of the families that owned the former lands of the municipality.
The town was not independent until the 19th century and, for a long time, it was a part of Artà. Currently, Son Servera, thanks to its coastal areas, has become an important touristic point of reference thanks to the great beaches located in Cala Bona, Cala Millor and some other in more remote areas, such as Sa Marjal and Es Ribells.
Son Servera is one of the Majorcan villages where Sant Antoni Feasts are massive. In summer, Son Servera celebrates its popular festivities during the month of June, with Sant Joan and some summer fairs. Also highlights are the popular fiestas of Cala Millor and the Virgen del Carmen Festivities in Cala Bona.
